Installation Guide

Step-by-step instructions for setting up your hammock safely and easily

1

Select Appropriate Trees

Choose two healthy, sturdy trees that are 12-15 feet apart. Trees should be at least 6 inches in diameter and free from rot, cracks, or disease.

Pro Tips
  • Avoid dead or dying trees
  • Check for overhead hazards like dead branches
  • Ensure ground underneath is clear of rocks and debris
2

Attach Tree Straps

Wrap the tree strap around the first tree at approximately 6 feet from the ground. Thread the strap through the loop and pull tight. The strap should be snug but not cutting into the bark.

Pro Tips
  • Higher attachment points create a tighter hang
  • Ensure strap is flat against the tree
  • No twists or knots in the strap
3

Connect Carabiners

Attach the carabiner to the desired loop on the strap. The hammock should hang with a 30-degree angle from the attachment point. Clip the hammock to the carabiner and ensure the gate is fully closed and locked.

Pro Tips
  • Always double-check carabiner locks
  • Gate should face away from the tree
  • Test weight before full use
4

Repeat on Second Tree

Follow the same process for the second tree, ensuring both straps are at approximately the same height for a level hang.

5

Test and Adjust

Gently sit in the hammock and test the tension. Adjust the strap positions if needed to achieve your desired hang angle. The ideal sag should be about 30 degrees.

Pro Tips
  • A deeper sag is more comfortable but less stable
  • Adjust both sides for balance
  • Re-check all connections after adjustment
1

Locate Wall Studs

Use a stud finder to locate solid wood studs in your wall. Mark the center of each stud at your desired height (typically 6-7 feet from the floor).

Pro Tips
  • Studs are typically 16 or 24 inches apart
  • Verify stud location by knocking on the wall
  • Avoid mounting to drywall alone
2

Drill Pilot Holes

Using a drill bit slightly smaller than your lag bolts, drill pilot holes into the center of each stud. Drill to a depth of about 3 inches.

Pro Tips
  • Use a level to ensure holes are aligned
  • Mark drill bit with tape for consistent depth
  • Clean out wood shavings from holes
3

Install Wall Anchors

Thread the lag bolts through the mounting plates and drive them into the pilot holes. Tighten securely using a wrench, ensuring the mounting plate sits flush against the wall.

4

Attach Hammock

Connect your hammock to the wall mounts using the provided carabiners or chains. Adjust the length to achieve the desired hang.

5

Load Test

Before full use, gently apply weight to the hammock to ensure all connections are secure and the wall mounts are properly installed.

1

Unpack Components

Lay out all frame components and hardware. Verify you have all pieces according to the included parts list.

2

Assemble Base Frame

Connect the base support bars using the quick-lock connectors. No tools required for most models. Ensure all connections click into place.

Pro Tips
  • Assemble on a flat, level surface
  • Check that all locking pins are fully engaged
  • Reference instruction manual for your specific model
3

Install Vertical Posts

Attach the vertical support posts to each end of the base frame. Secure with the provided bolts and tighten using the included Allen key.

4

Attach Hammock Hooks

Install the S-hooks or carabiner attachments at the top of each vertical post. These should be rated for the weight capacity of your hammock.

5

Hang Hammock

Attach your hammock to the hooks on both sides. Adjust the chain or strap length for your preferred hang. Test stability before full use.

Pro Tips
  • Stand should be on level ground
  • Allow adequate clearance around the hammock
  • Periodically check all connections
Important Safety Information

Always follow these safety guidelines:

Never exceed the stated weight capacity of your hammock or mounting system.

Inspect all equipment before each use for signs of wear, damage, or deterioration.

Ensure all connections are secure and properly locked before use.

Keep the area below the hammock clear of obstacles and hazards.

Children should be supervised when using hammocks.
